I know that it has stopped being offically supported. Open one of the apps by right-clicking and "Run as Administrator" - I had this issue recently and that fixed it. You only need to do it once. Have you tried the telephone option? They tend to be fairly helpful if you have a legitimate product key. They don't offer telephone activation anymore. This will reactivate the license. I know I have misread license keys many times. Office is end of life, so you won't be seeing security updates or any other fixes for it.
You may also run into issues with newer Office files that use a feature or function that an older version can't render.
